4×4 BOG OUT Innovation receives Ignite Ideas Fund

Nearly $100,000 has been awarded to Cairns-based manufacturer of BOG OUT 4×4 Vehicle Recovery Innovation in Round 3 of the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland, Ignite Ideas Fund.

Minister for Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy, Leeanne Enoch said Traktek’s BOG OUT is among 85 innovative Queensland applicants – independently assessed in a highly competitive process – sharing in the latest round of $10 million Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas funding.

“Ignite Ideas is part of the $420 million Advance Queensland initiative aiming to turn ideas into actions by investing in research and technologies, attracting new investment, building global partnerships and encouraging businesses to start and grow in Queensland.”

Traktek Pty Ltd is based in Cairns, North Queensland and manufactures near HQ. The family owned business has had long experience in the 4×4 recovery gear sector and BOG OUT innovation is a simple and effective solution to get vehicles out of bogs. Sales started strongly from the outset and have steadily increased as the business ‘learns the ropes’.

The business is now ready to enter into National and International partnerships and funding will include independent product validation and testing by a specialist Engineering facility at a Queensland University.

At BOG OUT’s core is the principle that all vehicles already have massive winches on them, their wheels, they can easily be used forward and reverse, so why not use them?

The device itself is basically a very strong and inexpensive rope and web harness that attaches one end to the bogged wheel and the other to an anchor point, simply drive out of trouble.

The product has the potential to be the ‘next big thing’ in the lucrative vehicle aftermarket industry and invites interested parties to ‘give us a call’.

Managing Director and Inventor, Paul Aubin said “Aussie products are known around the world for their rugged simplicity and BOG OUT is no exception. They are lightweight and compact and reduce the strains on the recovery process because the effort is at the bottom of the tyre, exactly where it should be.”

“The low tow point provides the maximum of efficiency therefore reducing the load required to move the vehicle. This provides significant safety and reliability benefits to recreational users. In addition, corporate, industrial government agencies also are recognising the potential for OH&S and time efficiency improvements. Every vehicle that goes off-road should have them. BOG OUT, DON’T GO WITHOUT!

Retailing at $159 for a single kit, $279 for a twin pack, plus associated new products are in the R&D pipeline.

BOG OUT invites distributors and interested parties to immediately contact BOG OUT Head Quarters on Ph: 1300 264 688 or info@bogout.com
